Milan, 2 April 2025 – Tomorrow afternoon kicks off the Milano Running Festival presented by Sky Wifi, the four-day sports event connected to the Wizz Air Milano Marathon scheduled for Sunday 6 April, organised by RCS Sports & Events – RCS Active Team. The inauguration is scheduled for Thursday afternoon at 17.00.
As in recent years, the headquarters will be at MiCo in CityLife, which will host the Marathon Village with a large exhibition hub of more than 8,000 square metres, in which entertainment activities, workshop-clinics, and presentation of events and products will take place. A meeting place for commercial operators in the world of running, fitness and sports tourism, open to active runners and the public.
These are the hours: Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m., Friday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Entrance is free of charge and is from Viale Eginardo 2 (Gate 2) and from Gate 1 – Park.
A studio of Sky Sport 24, the official broadcaster of the event, will be present for the second consecutive year at MiCo, to dedicate large windows in its programming to the protagonists, the runners and the public.
Among the initiatives on the programme on Friday, the presentation of the official route of the 42 km and that of the Top Runners, at 3 pm on the central stage. The parade of pacers is instead scheduled for Saturday at 5 p.m.: their role, a very important one, will be to precede the participating runners by indicating the right running pace also to achieve the various chronometric objectives.
Also on Saturday, CityLife will be the heart of two events that are highly anticipated by the public. At 9 a.m. the Levissima Family Run will start, a 3 km race open to all families, starting from Via Arona and finishing at the Vigorelli, another symbol of sport in Milan, where participants will find plenty of activities to try at the stands of the various exhibitors. The first wave of runners of the Levissima Family Run will start at 9.00 am.
In the afternoon, on the other hand, it will be the turn of the third edition of the Arcaplanet Dog Run, the 2 km run/walk dedicated to dogs and their human friends (or pet parents). A format-event that aims to enhance the pleasure of spending time in the company of one’s pet doing sporting activity. The start will be from the MiCo Terrace at 3 p.m.!
At the Milano Running Festival presented by Sky Wifi there will be numerous appointments by the official partners of the Milano Marathon and Relay Marathon and the official charities, including Rete del Dono – the partner of the Charity Program -, the Charity of The Year 2025 Fondazione TOG, Run Challenge, Aism, Sport Senza Frontiere, You Sport and many others. On Saturday morning, in particular, Technical Partner ASICS will present its running athletes, while Sport Nutrition Partner NAMED will organise a talk with marathon runner and middle-distance runner Eyob Faniel.
For the second year running, the MiCo during the Milano Running Festival will host the presentation of the teams of the 2025 edition of Giro-E Enel, the exclusive e-bike experience by RCS Sport that takes place on the days and roads of the Giro d’Italia. An event that uses short pedal-assisted bicycles, an ambassador of green mobility as well as environmental sustainability and inclusion. Appointment on Friday at 11 a.m. on the central stage.

THE RACE ROUTE – 42, 195 KM
The start and finish in the heart of the city, in Piazza del Duomo, is confirmed. A ring route that guarantees speed and smoothness to the Milan marathon route. Approximately 16 kilometres will cover the city centre in the first part of the route (Cairoli, Conciliazione and Pagano), after which, leaving the City Life area, it will move towards Monte Stella, the Hippodrome, San Siro and Trenno Park. From the 28th kilometre we begin to return to the central area, crossing the Portello Park and entering Corso Sempione, to arrive in the Arena Civica, Moscova, Brera, Montenapoleone and San Babila areas. Symbolic places of Milan capable of reconciling the needs of top runners and advanced amateurs, while at the same time offering the possibility of admiring an ever more beautiful city in its combination of historical and contemporary elements. The start is at 8.30 a.m.!
The relay race is different. The runners of the UniCredit Relay Marathon will also start from Piazza del
Duomo, but will arrive in Via Palestro. Near the finish line – corner of Via Marina
- there will also be the Charity Village. Below are the relay changeover points along the route: 1. Conciliazione-Pagano 2. Lotto (via Caprilli) 3. Uruguay. Start at 9.00 a.m.!

THE TRAFFIC SITUATION ON SUNDAY 6 APRIL

Metro stops on the red and yellow lines in Piazza del Duomo will be suspended until approximately 9.30 a.m., pending the start of the UniCredit Relay Marathon, after which service will be restored.
