Leonard LANGAT of Kenya wins the 23rd Wizz Air Milano Marathon with a time of 2:08:38, after launching his decisive move at the 40th kilometer. He is the new king of the Milan marathon. Second place goes to Isaac Kipkemboi TOO, also from Kenya, in 2:08:45, with Timothy Kosgei KIPCHUMBA, Kenya, finishing third in 2:09:11.
A stunning performance in the women’s race by Ethiopian Shure Demise WARE, who crossed the finish line in 2:23:31 – the fastest women’s marathon time recorded on Italian soil this year. Runner-up is Kenya’s Joan Jepkosgei KILIMO in 2:25:32, with Ethiopia’s Alemtsehay Mekuria ALAMIREW taking third place in 2:27:23.
