Registration for the Relay Marathon 2025 opens from October 7.
Milan, Oct. 3 – It was Fondazione TOG – Together To Go, the Charity of the Year of the Wizz Air Milan Marathon, that hosted the first workshop dedicated to the Charity Program 2025 last night at its new headquarters.
There will be seven meetings reserved for Third Sector Entities (ETS) to which Non-Profit Organizations belong, which RCS Sports & Events together with Rete del Dono plans to accompany them on a structured path in the coming months, up to the sports event scheduled for April 6 in Milan.
Here are the dates of the meetings and the topics that will be addressed: October 2 – The fundraising project (TOG Foundation); October 23 – The social impact (IBVA Foundation); November 6 – The involvement of runners and companies (Spazio Parentesi of LILT Monza Brianza); November 20 – Social media and e-mail marketing; December 4 – Testimony from abroad; January 22 – The day of the marathon; February 19 – Sharing Experience.
There will be 102 official ETSs next year operating in multiple social fields, with the expectation of involving 16,000 relay runners on the official route of the 42 kilometer Milanese marathon. The fundraising goal on Rete del Dono’s platform for next year is 2,000,000 €.
Specifically renewing participation are: IBVA Foundation, #RUNFOREMMA & friends, SOS Children’s Villages, WeWorld-GVC, Ente Nazionale Protezione Animali – ENPA, La Gotita, Laureus Sport for Good Italia Foundation, Make-A-Wish Italia, C’è Da Fare, AIC Lombardia Onlus, Dynamo Camp Foundation, Italian Diabetes Foundation, Telethon Foundation, Sport Without Borders, VIDAS, YouSport, Friends of Marco, Doctors with Africa Cuamm, Milan Foundation, Italian Multiple Sclerosis Association – AISM, Community Oklahoma, LILT Monza Brianza, AIRC Foundation, PlayMore! and so many others.
Many new entries for the next edition such as Doctors of the World (social and health care), Padeia Foundation and Williams Syndrome Families Association – AFSW (social inclusion), Donkey Foundation for Oncological Neurosurgery (scientific research), Cooperative Struggle Against Marginalization Onlus (civil rights protection).
MILANO MARATHON CHARITY PROGRAM
The Milano Marathon Charity Program is the fundraising project of the Milano Marathon closely connected to its relay race, the Relay Marathon: a running formula that allows the 42 kilometers and 195 meters of the course to be divided into 4 fractions. An event within the event open to runners eager to take part in a great sporting event and support a solidarity project connected to one of the Official Organizations (now ETS) participating in the project.
The year 2024 was a record year for the Charity Program! Fundraising exceeded the previous year by 25% with over 1,460,000 euros raised registered on the platform managed by Rete del Dono, obtained from companies, solidarity runners and crowfunding campaigns.
